Roman Reigns Says He’s Very Particular About His WWE Storylines

Roman Reigns has always been particular about how his stories play out in WWE, especially since his run as the Tribal Chief began in 2020.

In a recent interview with Complex, Reigns discussed what he still hopes to accomplish before he retires. He also described how much attention he pays to continuity in his storylines.

“I got like a little bit of OCD when it comes to storytelling and stuff,” Reigns said. “I like symmetrical situations, continuity and stuff. It’s all about the nuances.”

Reigns said there are still “loose ends” and “logic gaps” from his career that could fuel storylines for the next two or three years. He also expects new opportunities to open up as WWE’s younger talent moves up the card.

“As these young guys continue to grow, they’re gonna create matchups and situations for me. As I’m phasing out and as they’re really taking the helm, their superstardom, I think, will create those type of fantasy warfares.”

Reigns also left open the possibility of another major run in WWE if he stays in shape. In April, he returned to The Bloodline saga by reuniting Jimmy and Jey Uso, a sign that his character keeps drawing on older stories.

On the Sept. 14 episode of RAW in Mexico, Reigns retained the World Heavyweight Championship against Penta. Next up, he is set to defend the title against LA Knight at Money in the Bank on Oct. 10 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
