Randy Orton already has his next major target lined up. During Friday’s SmackDown at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, The Viper put CM Punk on notice ahead of his upcoming match against Cody Rhodes.
The segment took place backstage, where Punk was speaking with Cathy Kelley about his Undisputed WWE Championship match against Kevin Owens when Orton walked in unannounced.
Orton acknowledged Punk’s moment but made it clear his focus is already on what comes next. The Viper told Punk that once he gets past Rhodes at Sunday Night’s Main Event, he’s coming for the world champion.
“Fair warning, after I beat Cody in Atlanta in front of his family, I just wanted to give you a heads up. I’m coming after number 15.”
Punk kept his response short and confident:
“Can’t wait.”

Punk, meanwhile, had a big night on SmackDown, successfully defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens. The match ended with Punk retaining after Sami Zayn interfered.
