The mystery behind Leon Slater vs. Liam Slater being pulled from the MyAEW stream of RevPro’s 14 Year Anniversary Show now has a definitive answer, and it wasn’t TNA’s doing.
Leon defeated Liam this past Saturday, August 29, at the OVO Arena Wembley in London. The match aired on RevPro On Demand as scheduled but was omitted from the MyAEW version of the broadcast, which instead cut to a lengthy block of promotional videos.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Daily Update that the decision came directly from RevPro owner Andy Quildan. TNA did not order the match pulled. Quildan made the call on his own as a precaution, wanting to avoid any potential issues given that Leon is under TNA contract.
“Andy Quildan noted to us that the Leon Slater vs. Liam Slater match will be put up on YouTube soon from yesterday’s RevPro show. There were no direct instructions not to air the match on MyAEW but to avoid problems since it involved a TNA wrestler, he made the call not to put it on MyAEW. It did air on the RevPro stream. but to make it up for those who purchased the PPV from RevPro, they are putting it up.”

“TNA Wrestling was not involved with that event or match, including fans seeing said match or not seeing it.”
Quildan’s caution comes amid the recent history between TNA and AEW. In April, Carlos Silva took responsibility for pulling TNA talent from matches against AEW wrestlers on the independent scene. Leon himself was removed from a scheduled match against Ricochet at WrestleCon after the company cited “partner conflicts.”
