Britt Baker’s return at AEW All In: London was one of the most surprising moments of the show, marking her first appearance after nearly two years away from the company. The Wembley Stadium crowd gave her a massive reaction, and the backstage reception was reportedly just as positive.
Speaking on Monday’s Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez noted that AEW roster members were happy to see Baker backstage.
“Everybody was happy to see her in the back. You know, everyone’s in a good mood right now.”
The warm reception is particularly notable given the rumors that surrounded Baker during her extended absence. Tony Khan had previously pushed back on speculation about issues between Baker and the company, stating in February that she was “very highly regarded and respected here in AEW” and that he expected her to return at some point.
The return itself came together at the last minute. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that Baker was still home on Friday, with the plans to bring her in for All In only falling into place over the final days before the show.
Baker appeared in disguise during the TBS Championship match between Maya World and Persephone. She interfered on Persephone’s behalf, costing Maya the title, then hit the Lockjaw before unmasking. Backstage, Baker confirmed an alliance with the new champion.
The appearance ended an absence from AEW television dating back to November 2024.
