Ric Flair responded to those who have questioned how he is still alive after his fall last week, when he injured his face and ended up in the hospital.

On Friday, Flair wrote on X about how many matches he had in his career and the times his life was in danger.

“After 5,000 Matches With 2,400 Of Them Being One Hour Draws And 5 90 Minute Bouts. Round Trip To Japan, 24 Hours, Only To Wrestle Three One Hour Draws.”

Flair continued:

“Airplane Crash, 31 Days In The ICU And 14 Days On Life Support. 35 Days In Rehab. And You Are Worried About Me Falling Down And Hitting My Eye? WTF.”

Along with the post, Flair shared a graphic that compared his number of matches to those of Brock Lesnar, Triple H, John Cena and The Undertaker.

Flair fell on October 23 near a Wagamama restaurant in Tampa, Florida. He was treated at Tampa General Hospital for the injuries to his face.

On Wednesday, Flair revealed that he has to undergo another surgery and could need a skin graft. He thanked the staff at the USF Health Eye Institute and said he hopes to recover once that’s done.

The plane crash in question happened in 1975 and left him with a broken back. On The Joe Rogan Experience in 2023, Flair said he was able to return to the ring in March 1976, even though he was initially told he wouldn’t wrestle again.
