R-Truth appears to have picked a new target for his plans on Friday Night SmackDown. During this week’s show, the current WWE Tag Team Champion tried to convince Royce Keys to join a new version of The Judgment Day.

The moment took place backstage, shortly before Keys faced Gunther in the main event. Truth thanked him for his help against the MFT the previous week and said he should fill out an application to get into the group’s new “clubhouse.”

“We’re building a new clubhouse for the new Judgment Day. You should fill out an application, and I guarantee you’ll get in.”

Keys, however, did not seem especially excited. He laughed it off and simply said he would think about it, leaving Truth by himself shortly after.

The scene also helped raise Damian Priest’s suspicions. Truth’s partner pointed out that the MFT has attacked practically everyone backstage except Royce Keys, and said Keys still has not earned his trust.

Later on, Keys was defeated by Gunther in a No. 1 Contender’s Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship. The match ended after Solo Sikoa tried to pull him closer to the MFT with a chair, something Keys rejected. The distraction ended up costing him, as he was pinned after a Powerbomb.
