Royce Keys has revealed that when his wrestling career comes to an end, he wants to be remembered as one of the most feared stars in the industry. He wants his opponents to be afraid as soon as they get in the ring with him.
In an interview with Soundsphere Magazine, Keys was asked about the legacy he wants to leave behind. His answer was clear.
“Man, that’s a good question,” Keys said. “Probably, I think when it’s all said and done, just being one of the most, feared, you know, just when someone’s standing across the ring from me, you know, the first thing that comes to mind is fear.”
In the same interview, Keys discussed the 946, the faction he leads with Bronco Nima, Lucien Price, Jaida Parker, and Carmelo Hayes. He said Roman Reigns and The Bloodline are still his main targets, but noted that he could show up on WWE SmackDown and NXT as well to attack other stars on the roster.
Keys expressed interest in being part of this year’s WarGames match at Survivor Series.
Keys recently appeared on Busted Open Radio, where he said he picked the other four members of the 946 himself. He called himself a “natural born leader” and said it’s his job “to look after everybody,” including when they train together on the road.
WWE has had the group in a feud with Reigns’ family since it came together in August. On the October 19 Raw, Reigns himself ran in and helped The Usos and Solo Sikoa run the 946 out of the ring.
Keys talked about his long-term goals in February on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story? podcast. “I want to become a champion,” Keys said at the time. He added that he wanted to become a WWE legend and “be in the Hall of Fame.”
