Mark Henry suggested that Danhausen become the spokesperson for Finn Bálor as The Demon, similar to the setup Paul Heyman has with his clients.

Henry said on Busted Open After Dark that Danhausen could speak for Bálor in interviews and backstage segments. With Danhausen doing the talking, Bálor would not have to cut promos in character as The Demon.

“If Danhausen is going to be a part of this, then Danhausen can be the Paul Heyman for The Demon,” Henry said. “The Demon will appear. The Demon doesn’t have to cut promos.”

Henry even imagined how a conversation between Danhausen and someone trying to interview The Demon would go.

“‘Listen, Danhausen please, when are we going to be able to speak to The Demon?’ ‘The Demon doesn’t want to talk to you. The Demon talks to me and then I tell you what The Demon says.’”

Henry believes Bálor could be challenging for the Undisputed WWE Championship again in the next six months. He brought up how Bálor won the title in 2016 before an injury forced him to vacate the title, and said the character can still be in a top spot.

Henry praised the production of The Demon’s entrance on SmackDown in particular. He highlighted the camera shot of Bálor’s hands on the ropes before his face was shown as he came to the ring.

Henry revealed that a few weeks earlier, he heard Bálor didn’t want to bring back the character unless there was a meaningful storyline for it. Henry believes The Demon is popular enough that WWE needs a clear reason every time it brings the character out.

Danhausen introduced The Demon as his experiment on Friday’s Halloween edition of SmackDown, when Bálor made his return to attack Gunther.

Gunther is also in the mix if the alliance continues. Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Bálor vs. Gunther was part of WWE’s original plans for Crown Jewel. Posters of the two even went up at the show’s former venue in Riyadh while it was being set up.
