RUSH remains absent from AEW television, and if his latest update is any indication, his return may be further off than previously thought.
On Tuesday, October 6, a fan asked RUSH on social media when he would return to AEW. RUSH kept his reply very short, and it was a disappointing one at that.
“Maybe next year,” he wrote.
The response stands out mainly because exactly one month ago, RUSH painted an entirely different picture.
During a livestream on his YouTube channel, he said he had no set return date but believed he would be back in AEW within a few weeks.
On September 20, RUSH also made a point of denying that his absence was tied to a new injury. He said he was healthy, training as usual in Mexico and ready for any opportunity.
RUSH has not wrestled for AEW since the July 1 Collision tapings, where he beat Jordan Cruz. He was later left off the card for All In, which took place August 30 at Wembley Stadium.
Despite the long absence, there is no sign that RUSH is planning to leave AEW. In September, after a fan suggested he could make the jump to AAA, RUSH replied that his present is still AEW.
