Sami Zayn’s historic win at Night of Champions continues to deliver strong numbers for WWE. On Wednesday (July 1), TKO Group Holdings celebrated the digital performance of the premium live event, which was held this past Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
According to data released by WWE’s parent company, Night of Champions generated 186.8 million video views across the company’s main social media platforms. Of that total, 74.2 million were directly tied to Zayn’s win in the main event.
The Canadian defeated Cody Rhodes and Gunther in a Triple Threat Match to win the Undisputed WWE Championship for the first time in his career. The finish came after Zayn countered Rhodes’ final sequence and scored the pinfall that ended The American Nightmare’s reign.

Beyond the digital numbers, TKO also noted that the show took place before a sold-out crowd at Kingdom Arena, with more than 18,000 fans in attendance and a record number of commercial partners for the event.
Night of Champions also marked an important night for TKO’s international plans, as it took place on the same day as UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Torres in Baku, Azerbaijan. It was the first time WWE and UFC held events on the same night in that region.
With that, Zayn’s win not only became the biggest moment of his WWE career, but also served as the main driver of social media engagement for the event.
