Shinsuke Nakamura is bringing reinforcements to his war with Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga on SmackDown.
A new Nakamura vignette aired during Friday’s episode, with the former United States Champion vowing to return alongside a mystery ally whose identity WWE has not yet revealed.
In the video, Nakamura said,
“I’m starting a war. And I’m no longer a one man army. He and I make it clear who are warriors, and who are just pawns.”
No name has been officially attached to the role, so anyone being linked to it at this point is purely speculation.
The Nakamura/Tonga rivalry dates back to October 10, 2025, when Tama returned to WWE by interrupting Nakamura’s United States Championship match against Sami Zayn. Talla was part of the angle from the start, joining Tama in the post-match attack on both Nakamura and Zayn that same night.
Nakamura’s most recent televised match was on May 22, a loss to Talla following interference from Solo Sikoa. After the bell, Tama stopped Solo from continuing his assault on Nakamura, then turned around and laid Nakamura out himself.
