Bayley and Lyra Valkyria are set to meet in a No Disqualification Match on next week’s Raw. Bayley laid down the challenge on Monday’s episode after interfering in Valkyria’s match and costing her the win.
WWE had been considering a match with a special stipulation to end the feud, according to a WrestleVotes Radio report that Wrestling Noticias relayed on Oct. 1. The report said the creative team was discussing a stipulation considered rare.
On Monday’s Raw, Valkyria was increasingly on edge over Bayley’s appearances. During a backstage segment, she believed she was being stalked and attacked Lola Vice by mistake, a mix-up that set up a match between the two.
Bayley interfered from under the ring, grabbing Valkyria’s leg and then pulling her hair. Vice capitalized on the distraction with a spinning backfist for the pinfall.
Valkyria went after Bayley following the match, and the two brawled outside the ring. Bayley eventually fought her off and climbed the turnbuckles to issue the challenge for next week.
Bayley’s stalking of Valkyria also played out on Wednesday’s episode of Main Event, where Valkyria lost to Sol Ruca after Bayley’s entrance music played during the match and distracted her. Bayley appeared afterward and celebrated with Ruca.
Raw heads to the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California, next week.
