WWE has announced that next week’s SmackDown will be a Danhausen-themed special timed for Halloween. The announcement came during Friday’s event.
The special will be called Danhausen’s Very Nice, Very Evil SmackDown, and Danhausen will serve as host.
Gunther has responded to the announcement in a WWE digital exclusive with Cathy Kelley. He said he hates Halloween and criticized the decision to have Danhausen host the show.
Gunther also promised to be at the show.
“I’m going to make sure it’s going to be a very special night for a very special boy.”

The comment ties into Gunther’s feud with Danhausen on SmackDown. Fightful’s Corey Brennan reported on October 16 that the two were set for a rematch on the October 30 episode.
But the card released after Friday’s SmackDown lists Danhausen as host of the special and doesn’t have him in a match.
WWE also announced three title matches for the episode. Sami Zayn will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Trick Williams, and Chelsea Green will put the WWE Women’s Championship on the line against Nikki Bella.
Rey Fenix is scheduled to defend the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship against Ricky Saints, as long as he retains the title against Mini Vikingo at Héroes Inmortales.
Danhausen has another Halloween-themed appearance lined up for the day after the special. WWE had already confirmed him as host of NXT Halloween Havoc, which is set for October 31.
