After weeks of refusing, Hangman Adam Page agreed to face Swerve Strickland and The New Level in a Texas Death Match at AEW Full Gear. It will be for the AEW World Trios Championship.

On Wednesday’s Blood & Guts edition of Dynamite in Jacksonville, Florida, Austin Creed questioned why Strickland attacked Bandido without discussing it with The New Level first. But Bandido attacked Creed out of nowhere and went after Strickland until Page and Brody King came out to even the odds.

Later backstage, Bandido emphasized that it was no longer just Page’s feud and demanded a Texas Death Match for Full Gear.

“This is not about you anymore… I want Texas Death!” Bandido said.

King was on board, and Page finally accepted. Moments later, the match was confirmed by Tony Khan and the commentary team.

Page, King, and Bandido won the titles at WrestleDream on October 17, where they defeated Strickland and The New Level in a two out of three falls match. This ended their rivals’ reign at just 48 days, and Page, King, and Bandido became the first three-time AEW World Trios Champions.

Four days later, during the October 21 Dynamite, Strickland demanded a rematch and suggested a Texas Death Match. Page accepted the rematch but not the stipulation.

On last week’s Dynamite, Strickland made things more personal by attacking Bandido, who was shown on the big screen bloodied and unmasked.

It was at the 2023 Full Gear in Los Angeles that Strickland defeated Page in a Texas Death Match by choking him with a chain. That was Page’s first loss in a Texas Death Match.

Three years later, Page and Strickland will be in a Texas Death Match at the same show again, but this time they will be part of a trios match.

Full Gear takes place on Saturday, November 14, at the Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
