One week before AEW Full Gear, Jon Moxley and the Death Riders were brutally attacked by The Cut, with Mercedes Moné getting involved, on Saturday’s Collision.

The segment ended with Jay White hitting the Blade Runner on Moxley and The Cut standing tall in the middle of the ring with Moné, the AEW Women’s World Champion.

The segment came shortly after Moxley, Gabe Kidd and Daniel Garcia defeated Shane Taylor Promotions in a trios match. Moxley then cut a promo and admitted that the Death Riders aren’t the favorites, but he warned that The Cut is going to have to earn what it wants.

That’s when Moné came out looking for Marina Shafir. She promised that her challenger will be embarrassed at Full Gear and told Moxley to keep Shafir in line. Moxley responded by taunting her over Garcia and telling her not to curse in front of the families and children on board.

Suddenly, White’s music hit and The Cut surrounded the ring. They quickly took out Garcia and Kidd, which left Moxley at the mercy of Juice Robinson and Ace Austin while Moné laughed and applauded at ringside. White then grabbed the mic and promised that The Cut will take what belongs to them at Full Gear. After that, Moné got in the ring and kicked Moxley in the head before White hit his finisher.

The Cut, which formed in October when the Bang Bang Gang joined forces with the Dogs, defeated the Death Riders at Fright Night Dynamite on October 28. That night, Moxley challenged them to Anarchy in the Arena at Full Gear.

This will be the fifth Anarchy in the Arena match since 2022 and the first one that won’t take place at Double or Nothing. Moxley has won only one of the three he has been in, back in 2023 with the Blackpool Combat Club against The Elite.

Moné will defend the title against Shafir on the same show. At All In: London on August 30, Moné defeated Willow Nightingale to win the AEW Women’s World Championship.

Full Gear will take place on Saturday, November 14, at the Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, Arizona, and it will be AEW’s first PPV in the city.
