The Lethal Twist, the trio of Jay Lethal, Blake Christian and Lee Johnson, captured the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship at Friday’s Death Before Dishonor from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The new champions defeated Dalton Castle and The Outrunners, Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum, in the opening match of the pay-per-view’s main card.
Christian rolled up Magnum in the closing moments while Lethal grabbed Christian’s arm from the floor for extra leverage. Christian also hooked the ropes, preventing Magnum from kicking out.
The loss ends the 98-day reign of Castle, Floyd and Magnum, who captured the titles on May 15 at Supercard of Honor by defeating Shane Taylor Promotions.
The win carries added significance for Lethal, who becomes the first wrestler to have held all five men’s championships in ROH history. He has now captured the World Championship, World Television Championship, Pure Championship, World Tag Team Championship and World Six-Man Tag Team Championship.
