Add as a preferred source on Google Thekla caused major chaos in STARDOM just days before defending the AEW Women’s World Championship at Forbidden Door.
The wrestler made a surprise appearance at The Conversion 2026, which took place this Saturday, June 20, at Yoyogi National Stadium Second Gymnasium in Tokyo.
The invasion happened after the third match of the night, as Taro Okada was addressing the crowd. Thekla appeared behind the STARDOM president, tried to cut his hair with electric clippers, and then attacked him in front of the Japanese fans.
The rivalry between the two sides is not new. In April 2025, Thekla was fired from STARDOM after attacking Okada. Since then, now as an AEW star, she has used that exit as a central part of her character.
During the segment, Thekla also tried to spit on the STARDOM logo, repeating the taunt she made on AEW programming. Moments later, Starlight Kid appeared and ran the champion out of the ring.
Kid closed the segment by raising the AEW Women’s World Championship, making it clear that she intends to return to Japan as champion.
“The next time I have this belt in my hands, I’ll be coming back to Japan as the champion!”
AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door will take place on Sunday, June 28, at SAP Center in San Jose, California, and will feature talent from AEW, NJPW, CMLL, and STARDOM.
