Tiffany Stratton already knows who she wants in her corner if WWE decides to revisit part of her original NXT gimmick. The reigning WWE Women’s United States Champion said Paul Heyman would be the ideal choice for a reworked version of “Daddy’s Little Rich Girl.”
During a recent appearance on the Battleground Podcast, Stratton was asked who could fill the “daddy” role in the gimmick. Stratton praised Heyman’s track record and explained that the pairing would not have to bring back the original gimmick exactly as it was.
“I have seen what Paul Heyman has done for people. I definitely feel like he would be a wise man to have in my corner. I think Paul Heyman could take me to that next level. Obviously, he’s helped make so many talent.
I think he would be the perfect character to fill that daddy role. I wouldn’t say I’d have to call him my rich daddy. It could be like that gimmick, but in a different way. It wouldn’t have to be this spoiled daddy’s little rich girl. But I definitely think Paul Heyman would fit that role perfectly.”
Stratton debuted on NXT TV in December 2021 with a spoiled rich girl gimmick built around her father. The gimmick gradually faded as Stratton developed “Tiffy Time” and the Barbie-inspired presentation that carried over to the main roster.
In early July, Stratton said she could re-pitch the gimmick to WWE. She explained at the time that, in her view, Shawn Michaels did not move forward with it because there was no one to play the father, leaving the gimmick without a clear payoff. In Stratton’s proposed version, Heyman would fill the role she said kept the gimmick from going further in NXT.
For now, Stratton is focused on the ladder match that will crown the Interim WWE Women’s Champion this Saturday at SummerSlam. She will face Jade Cargill, Charlotte Flair, Chelsea Green and Lash Legend in Minneapolis as she looks to leave the event with two titles.
Heyman, meanwhile, remains aligned with Brock Lesnar, who is also set to compete at SummerSlam against Oba Femi inside Hell in a Cell.
