Add as a preferred source on Google Lash Legend beat Giulia in the final qualifier on Friday’s go-home SmackDown from Green Bay, filling out the five-way ladder match for the interim WWE Women’s Title at SummerSlam. She joins Tiffany Stratton, Chelsea Green, Charlotte Flair and Jade Cargill on Night 2 in Minneapolis, working for the belt WWE created while Rhea Ripley is out with a knee injury.
Five women are in the match, but WWE wasn’t subtle in Green Bay. Flair and Cargill are the two being booked to win it.
Start with the tag match. Stratton and Green, two of the five, lost to B-Fab and Michin, with Cargill at ringside running interference and sending Stratton into the steps to set up the finish. B-Fab pinned Green. Flair’s music hit right after, Stratton and Green pulled B-Fab and Michin to the floor, and that left Flair alone in the ring with Cargill. They traded right hands, Flair leveled her with a big boot, and Cargill bailed.
That’s not an accident. WWE took a match with two contenders in it, had both of them eat the loss, used B-Fab and Michin as bodies, and gave the last shot of the segment to the two women who weren’t even in it.

Charlotte Flair and Jade Cargill Are the Stars of the Match
Legend got booked differently. She went over Giulia clean and quick with Nia Jax in her corner and no interference needed, closer to a squash than a competitive match. That sets her up as the biggest physical threat in the field and the one taking the big ladder spots. Even then, the win was there to fill the last spot and add a monster for the two favorites to work around.
Flair and Cargill got here off each other, too. Flair’s run-in handed Cargill a DQ win over Jax on July 17, and a week later Cargill, Michin and B-Fab jumped Flair to give her the DQ win over Jax. Their program has run separate from the rest of the field, all run-ins and post-match beatdowns.
Green is the upset pick, Stratton is still Women’s United States Champion and Legend has the momentum. The booking still points to Flair or Cargill leaving Minneapolis with the interim title.
Between the two, Flair has the edge. Putting the belt on her keeps the Cargill program going and sets up a unification match with Ripley whenever she’s cleared. Cargill is the obvious alternative if WWE wants her right back on top of the division.
