Add as a preferred source on Google Oba Femi made his first Monday Night RAW appearance since defeating Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam, and WWE once again fueled speculation about the Beast Incarnate’s future.
On tonight’s show in Des Moines, Iowa, Femi said he now views the attack he took after WrestleMania 42 as part of a test Lesnar had put him through. The Ruler said he proved he is ready to lead this generation and said Lesnar can finally rest.
As previously reported, WWE had already staged a similar farewell at WrestleMania, when Lesnar left his boots and gloves in the ring after his first loss to Femi.
However, the retirement did not happen. Lesnar returned on the May 18 episode of Raw, attacked Femi and won the rematch at Clash in Italy. Femi’s win at SummerSlam gave him a 2-1 win in the trilogy.

Femi had temporarily put aside the world title opportunity he earned by winning King of the Ring to settle his rivalry with Lesnar inside the structure.
After the match, Lesnar returned to the ring, hugged Femi, raised Femi’s arm and pointed to him as the present and future of WWE while positioning himself as the past.
Despite those signals, the company continues to avoid confirming a retirement. Triple H chose to leave the situation open-ended, while sources within WWE do not believe SummerSlam was Lesnar’s final match.
The RAW segment furthered the farewell narrative, but did not close the door on another special appearance.
