Add as a preferred source on Google WWE has announced a fairly strong card for the next episode of NXT, which will take place next Tuesday, June 9.
The show will feature two matches directly tied to championships, along with more key developments on the road to NXT The Great American Bash.
The main highlight will be Kendal Grey vs. Kelani Jordan in a #1 Contender’s Match. The winner will face Lola Vice at Great American Bash, which is scheduled for June 28.
The match was set up after Vice was interrupted by Jordan and Grey on this Tuesday’s show. Jordan pointed to her recent wins, while Grey noted that she had already pinned both Jordan and the champion herself during the most recent Iron Survivor Challenge.
Tatum Paxley will also defend the NXT Women’s North American Championship against Zaria. The challenger defeated Lizzy Rain on this week’s show and was then given the opportunity by the champion herself before attacking her backstage.
Mason Rook will face Naraku in a match with NXT Championship implications. Robert Stone confirmed the bout, while Tony D’Angelo said that if Rook wins, he will move ahead in the title picture.
Finally, Shiloh Hill and Tristan Angels will take part in the Mr. NXT Pageant.
