WWE President Nick Khan had high praise for Triple H’s work atop the company’s creative team. According to Khan, Triple H is currently the best creative mind in all of pro wrestling.
In an interview on The Varsity with John Ourand, in an episode titled “Nick Khan’s Plan to Fix Boxing” that came out this Wednesday, September 9, Khan addressed the criticism WWE fans regularly post on social media. The topic came up while he was discussing the company’s deals with Netflix and ESPN Unlimited.
Khan acknowledged that some of the complaints have merit and could lead to minor tweaks. But he said WWE can’t change course just because something blows up on social media.
That’s when Khan doubled down.
“We have the best creative in terms of all of wrestling in Triple H.”
Along with Triple H, Khan also praised the teams behind WWE’s live events, products and merchandising. He said the company has to trust the people it’s put in those roles, and he tied that structure to the growth across TKO’s properties, including WWE, UFC, On Location, IMG and PBR.
Triple H currently holds the title of WWE Chief Content Officer. He took over the creative team’s responsibilities in July 2022 and was promoted to his current role that September. These days, he oversees Creative Writing, Talent Relations, Live Events, Talent Development and Creative Services.
Khan’s comments make clear that, despite the criticism WWE’s programming draws on social media, the company’s leadership continues to publicly back the work Triple H is doing.
