Shotzi Blackheart is a free agent after her MLW contract ended Oct. 5. Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reports that sources within TNA believe the company will sign her.
MLW, however, still intends to keep working with Shotzi, according to sources within the promotion. They described their experience with her as very positive and added that MLW already has plans to use her at some events in 2027.
Shotzi has already appeared for TNA, taking part in Tuesday’s iMPACT taping in Dothan, Alabama. She also wrestled a match there, her first for the company since 2019.
When Shotzi re-signed with MLW early this year, she said the creative freedom the promotion gave her was a key factor in her decision.
She praised MLW at the time in an interview with Sports Illustrated.
“I’ve never had a company understand my character more than MLW.”
Shotzi is still appearing on MLW programming, which was taped weeks in advance. The promotion has announced that she will defend the MLW Women’s World Championship against Rina on Thursday’s Fusion, which streams at 8 p.m. ET on Tubi.
On Thursday, TNA will also air the iMPACT episode taped in Dothan.
