The current TNA Director of Authority and pro wrestling legend, Santino Marella, had his contract renewed with the company for one more year.
Marella, even before the official announcement by TNA on its social media, confirmed the extension of his deal with the company on The Johnny I Pro Show Podcast, where he also revealed what motivated him to remain with the Nashville company.
Marella said he has renewed for another year with TNA and that he feels it is the right thing. He added that it is the right moment, because of the direction the company is taking and the momentum it has, that, since the arrival on AMC, everything has been incredible, and that the locker room continues to shine.
It is important to point out that Marella has been under contract with TNA since 2022, being a very active figure in the company’s weekly programming, mainly on iMPACT!, where, alongside Daria Rae, he has a position of authority.
At 52 years of age, Marella also wrestled a few times in these four years with TNA, and his last appearance in the ring occurred in May, when, alongside Indi Hartwell, he defeated Arianna Grace and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo in a Mixed Tag Team Match.
