Willow Nightingale has suffered a legitimate injury just days before she’s set to defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Mercedes Moné at All In. Despite the concern, the champion is still expected to compete as planned.
Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Nightingale is dealing with a hand injury. There is currently no word on when or how the injury happened.
AEW worked the situation into the Nightingale-Moné rivalry on the August 26 Dynamite from Glasgow, Scotland. Nightingale was scheduled to appear on the show but was instead found laid out backstage following an attack by Moné, clutching her left hand in pain.
The segment could have easily been dismissed as a standard storyline beat. Alvarez later revealed, however, that the injury is legitimate, though it’s not considered serious enough to keep Nightingale off All In.

12:53 AM · Aug 27, 2026Nightingale last competed on the August 22 Collision, where she defeated TBS Champion Maya World in her first successful defense of the AEW Women’s World Championship.
This isn’t Nightingale’s first injury setback of 2026. A right shoulder injury in May forced her to vacate the TBS Championship and withdraw from the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. She returned in July and captured the world title by defeating Thekla at Redemption on July 26.
AEW All In takes place this Sunday, August 30, at Wembley Stadium in London.
