Roxanne Perez still hasn’t shaken the violent head collision she had with Liv Morgan on the April 6 episode of WWE RAW during the WrestleMania 42 build. Months later, Perez revealed that the sound of the impact is still stuck in her head.
The collision happened backstage when Stephanie Vaquer attacked Morgan from behind and shoved her into Perez. Their heads cracked together and both women went down immediately, before Vaquer continued the segment by throwing Morgan into a TV.
Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer later reported that both Morgan and Perez were placed in WWE’s concussion protocol for evaluation. Perez appeared on social media the following day with an ice pack on her head.
In a recent appearance on Notsam Wrestling Live, Perez looked back on the incident and called it one of the scariest experiences of her career.
“That sound is something that just replays in my head. It’s like a horror movie. It’s literally like a horror movie. I can still hear it, and it makes me cringe. That was like the scariest — one of the scariest things that’s ever happened to me in professional wrestling. Liv Morgan still has that knot on her head.”
“Immediately. Immediately, clunk. I heard the crack and I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ I was just laying on the floor and I was pressing my head because I was like, ‘I just know I have a bump.’ That’s the first thing that came to my mind.”
Despite the scare, Morgan was cleared to compete at WrestleMania 42 on April 18. She defeated Stephanie Vaquer to capture the Women’s World Championship, with Perez and Raquel Rodriguez in her corner.
Morgan is still the reigning Women’s World Champion, with Perez remaining by her side as part of Judgment Day.
