Bayley was spotted backstage at TNA Lockdown this past Sunday, August 23, at the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
According to PWInsider, the WWE star was on hand to support Elayna Black, formerly known as Cora Jade, who challenged Xia Brookside for the TNA Knockouts World Championship.
Bayley’s appearance comes amid uncertainty surrounding her WWE future. She has been off television since July 18, when she lost to Lyra Valkyria on Saturday Night’s Main Event and suffered another attack after the match.
Fightful Select has reported that Bayley’s current WWE contract is set to expire by the end of 2026, provided the company does not tack on additional time to account for periods she was sidelined with injuries. As of the latest update, sources within WWE said she had not signed a new deal, though the company is interested in keeping her.
Elayna Black came up short in her title bid at Lockdown. Xia Brookside threw powder in the challenger’s eyes before picking up the pinfall to retain the TNA Knockouts World Championship.
The event also marked the return of Lockdown after a ten-year absence, with every match on the card taking place inside a steel cage.
There is currently no indication that Bayley’s backstage presence is connected to any negotiations with TNA.
