Add as a preferred source on Google “Hangman” Adam Page is nearing a return to AEW, just over four months removed from his last match for the company.
During the AEW Redemption media call, Tony Khan was asked about the status of the former AEW World Champion and said he expects to see him back very soon. The AEW president also noted that Page’s recent appearance on Collision has made his return imminent.
“Stay tuned.”
Page made his return on the July 11 episode of Collision, held in Roanoke, Virginia, though only for a promo segment. During the appearance, he revealed he had undergone physical therapy for cervical radiculopathy during his time away.
His last match came on March 15 at AEW Revolution in Los Angeles, California, where he was defeated by MJF in a Texas Death Match for the AEW World Championship. The stipulation dictated that a loss would mean Page could never again challenge for the title.
Even though he acknowledged the stipulation was never signed into a contract, Hangman promised to keep his word. He then named the TNT Championship, the AEW National Championship, the AEW Continental Championship, and the AEW International Championship as possible targets.
