WWE had no involvement in TNA’s decision to end its relationship with Max Caster after the controversy at Bound for Glory. According to Dave Meltzer, in the most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, people connected to the company maintain that there was no interference in the departure.
The journalist added that most of WWE’s top names were not even aware of the controversial rap when TNA had already decided to no longer work with Caster.
The information fits with what Fightful Select had previously revealed. According to the outlet, the verse was not approved in advance and caused strong dissatisfaction among TNA’s own executives. Meltzer’s new report rules out WWE’s participation in that internal decision.
Speculation about possible outside pressure gained strength due to the partnership between WWE and TNA, announced in January 2025, which allows the exchange of talent between the companies, mainly on NXT.
People in WWE have said the company had nothing to do with TNA cutting ties with Max Caster after his Bound for Glory rap. Most key people in WWE didn’t even know about the rap until TNA had already made their decision to sever ties. (Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter) https://t.co/lS4GoCgYrv

In addition, WWE has Crown Jewel scheduled for Nov. 7 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, precisely the city mentioned by Caster in his rap, which made reference to the recent attacks that left people dead and wounded in the region.
As previously reported on Wrestling Noticias, TNA’s president, Carlos Silva, was directly responsible for the end of Caster’s run with the company.
TNA itself publicly assumed responsibility for allowing the content to be broadcast. In a statement, the company apologized, announced the removal of the segment from replays of the event and from its social media, and said.
“This should never have made it into the show, and that responsibility is ours.”
