The broadcast plans for WWE Worlds Collide have shifted again. According to journalist Andrew Baydala, people close to the situation now believe the show will air live on YouTube this Saturday, September 26.
As previously reported, WWE had been treating the event more as a live event than a television production. PWInsider later reported the show would be taped for release at a later date, with YouTube and Club WWE among the possible platforms.
That outlook has changed in recent days, Baydala said, with sources now pointing to a live YouTube stream.
“A quick update on Worlds Collide—those I spoke with yesterday and today are under the impression the show will air LIVE on YouTube. Obviously things can change but, that is the current direction and distribution of that show on Saturday,” Baydala wrote.
WWE has not officially confirmed any broadcast details. The Worlds Collide page on the company’s website lists only the venue — Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois — and a start time of 7:30 p.m. CT / 8:30 p.m. ET.
The full card, however, has been confirmed. CM Punk, Rey Mysterio and El Grande Americano will face Omos, Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh in the main event. La Catalina will defend the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship against Roxanne Perez, and Penta and Rey Fenix will take on Perros del Mal. Oba Femi will also appear.
Worlds Collide takes place the same night as AEW All Out, which is also being held in the Chicago area.
