WWE Worlds Collide is not expected to air live when it takes place Saturday, September 26, despite a lineup that includes CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, Penta, Rey Fenix, Dominik Mysterio and Oba Femi.
The show’s broadcast plans have been the subject of conflicting reports in recent weeks. Journalist Andrew Baydala reported at one point that WWE would stream the show live on YouTube. As of Friday, however, the company has not officially announced a platform for Worlds Collide.
The Wrestling Observer now reports that there is a strong chance the show will be taped and made available on Club WWE at a later date.
That possibility grew even stronger after WWE Hall of Famer JBL revealed on this week’s episode of Something to Wrestle that WWE is not bringing its announce team to Chicago. He said the plan outlined earlier called for the commentary to be recorded after the fact.
“I’m not going to be there. We’re going to call it post fact,” JBL said. “They’re not bringing in announcers.”
Worlds Collide is set for Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, on the same night AEW holds All Out in the Chicago area.
If the show does stay off YouTube, it will mark a significant departure from past Worlds Collide events. The June 2025 edition peaked at 764,389 concurrent viewers across the WWE and WWE Español YouTube channels, setting what was then a record for a live WWE broadcast on the platform.
At this point, however, WWE has not confirmed that Worlds Collide will be exclusive to Club WWE, so that scenario should be treated as speculation.
