Roman Reigns is officially set to return to WWE RAW. Michael Cole announced during Monday’s episode that the World Heavyweight Champion will be on next week’s show.
Reigns will appear on the August 31 episode at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. WWE hasn’t revealed what he’ll be doing on the program, but he’ll apparently be keeping close tabs on the tournament to determine his next challenger.
Reigns was absent from tonight’s RAW in Ottawa, Ontario, but his presence was still felt throughout The Bloodline storyline. Solo Sikoa and LA Knight took on The Usos in the main event, one week after Sikoa attacked Reigns.
Amid the chaos on the August 17 RAW, Sikoa hit Reigns with a Samoan Spike and helped LA Knight take out both Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso. Jacob Fatu, meanwhile, obeyed Reigns’ order to stay out of it, standing motionless as everything played out.
Along with Reigns’ return, the August 31 RAW will feature the tournament final to determine his next challenger. Penta will face Rey Fenix in the final after the brothers advanced past La Parka and Dragon Lee, respectively, in tonight’s semifinals.
The winner will challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship on the September 14 RAW in Mexico City.
