WWE has announced a huge match for tonight’s SmackDown main event: Finn Bálor, Damian Priest, Royce Keys and Trick Williams will collide in a Fatal 4-Way Match.

The winner will earn a spot at SummerSlam, where he’ll face Sami Zayn in a No. 1 Contender’s Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Adam Pearce announced the decision after Zayn demanded another shot at the title. The former champion complained about being left off the card, pointing out that he had won the title at Night of Champions but had to defend it just days later against Cody Rhodes.

Rhodes was ultimately pulled from that match after Gunther attacked him, allowing CM Punk to step in and beat Zayn. Zayn’s reign began on June 27 and ended on July 6, lasting just nine days.

Zayn tried to convince Pearce to turn the Punk-Rhodes match at SummerSlam into a Triple Threat Match. The general manager turned Zayn down, but offered him a shot against the Fatal 4-Way Match winner instead.

Interestingly, Priest and Williams have already been in a similar spot against Zayn. On January 24, Zayn beat both of them and Randy Orton in a Fatal 4-Way Match to earn a shot at Drew McIntyre’s title at the Royal Rumble. Now Priest and Williams will try to turn the tables.

Bálor and Keys were also on the same side in a Fatal 4-Way Match recently. On the June 12 episode of SmackDown, they lost to Jey Uso in a King of the Ring qualifying match that also included LA Knight.

Keys’ spot in tonight’s match stands out because he’s already been announced for SummerSlam, teaming with LA Knight and Solo Sikoa against Jacob Fatu and The Usos. If he wins tonight, the former AEW star could end up working two matches at the event.
