WWE made two more Money in the Bank qualifying matches official on Friday’s SmackDown.
On the men’s side, Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens and Johnny Gargano will meet in a Triple Threat Match. Owens and Gargano have been feuding in recent weeks.
Gargano interfered in Owens’ Undisputed WWE Championship match against Sami Zayn on the September 18 episode of SmackDown, keeping Owens from picking up the win.
Tiffany Stratton will face Tatum Paxley and Candice LeRae in the women’s qualifier. Paxley has been gaining momentum since arriving on SmackDown, beating Michin in her first singles match on the brand in late August.
The two matches are part of the final stretch of qualifying. Heading into Friday’s show, CM Punk, Bron Breakker, Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams and Penta had secured spots in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, while Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Jacy Jayne and Roxanne Perez held the first four spots in the women’s match.
The next episode of SmackDown is scheduled for October 2 at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.
The Money in the Bank premium live event is set for October 10 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
