WWE is making a significant change to its schedule in late August, holding Raw and SmackDown on the same night.

The change will take place on Friday, August 28, at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. SmackDown will air as usual on USA Network, while Raw will be taped immediately afterward for its August 31 broadcast on Netflix.

Cleveland was originally scheduled to host only SmackDown. The following episode of Raw had been set for the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, but that show was postponed to February 19, 2027, and switched to a SmackDown taping.

With the change, Rocket Arena has been promoting the night as “two shows, one night.” Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Oba Femi, Sami Zayn, Gunther, Charlotte Flair, Tiffany Stratton, Penta and Liv Morgan are among the names advertised for the show, though the card is subject to change.

The change also comes amid the cancellation of the September 4 SmackDown taping, which had originally been scheduled for the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati. As of now, WWE has not announced a new venue for that show.

This will be the second time in a short span that WWE has taped a show ahead of time. On June 29, the company held Raw and SmackDown in Atlantic City, giving the roster and crew July 3 off, the eve of the Fourth of July holiday.
