WWE may be planning a big surprise for Money in the Bank, set for Saturday, October 10, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
According to the X account False Finish, talk of a cash-in on the same night the briefcase is won circulated among members of WWE’s creative team earlier this week.
It is unclear, however, whether WWE has actually approved the idea, and it is even less clear whether it would involve the men’s or the women’s contract.
So far, there has been no official word on a same-night cash-in, although the possibility was discussed behind the scenes.

Roman Reigns is set to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight at the event, and Stephanie Vaquer will put the Women’s World Championship on the line against Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan.
The card also features the men’s and women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Matches, with CM Punk, Bron Breakker, Kevin Owens, Roxanne Perez and Tiffany Stratton among the competitors, all looking to earn a future world title shot.
The most recent same-night cash-in attempt came in 2024, when Drew McIntyre won the briefcase, only for CM Punk to stop him from beating Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship.
In 2022, by contrast, Liv Morgan won the women’s contract and cashed it in a few hours later, beating Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
