WWE Denies Plans to Move Crown Jewel Out of Saudi Arabia

WWE is moving ahead with plans to hold Crown Jewel 2026 in Saudi Arabia despite recent attacks on Riyadh, which have raised questions about security for the Nov. 7 event.

According to PWInsider, WWE has not begun talks about moving the show to another country, contrary to speculation early Tuesday. A source within WWE also denied rumors that the company had secured a backup arena in Europe.

WWE is reportedly in regular contact with the Saudi government and with a private security firm it has contracted, which specializes in Middle East operations. Under the company’s internal guidance, no trip will go forward without the firm’s approval.

PWInsider reported in September that WWE also believed it would need approval from U.S. authorities to move forward with its plans in the region.

Security concerns grew after recent attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which led to flight cancellations and travel disruptions. The U.S. State Department updated its travel advisory on Monday, keeping Saudi Arabia at Level 3, a designation that advises travelers to reconsider going to the country.

Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer also reported that Riyadh remains the planned location for Crown Jewel, but that WWE is considering a U.S. city as a possible alternative. He did not name the city.

Despite the security concerns, WWE has continued to promote the event. On this week’s Raw, the company confirmed Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn for the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship and Liv Morgan vs. Chelsea Green for the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship.

Triple H also released the event’s official poster on Tuesday, with Riyadh still billed as the host city.
