Brock Rechsteiner, son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner, already has a virtually guaranteed path to follow his family’s footsteps in pro wrestling once his football career wraps up.
According to Fightful Select, a WWE higher-up stated there is a “99.9% chance” Rechsteiner receives an offer from the company when his time in the NFL is over. The internal expectation is that he would not need to go through a tryout and would be signed outright.
For now, though, Rechsteiner remains focused on football. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound wide receiver is with the New Orleans Saints after earning a contract following the rookie minicamp.
His NFL situation hit a snag this week. Rechsteiner was suspended for the first six games of the 2026 season for violating the NFL-NFLPA performance-enhancing substance policy. He is still eligible to participate in training camp and preseason games.
Before reaching the NFL, Rechsteiner played four seasons at Jacksonville State, finishing his college career with 53 receptions, 629 yards, and seven touchdowns.

“I want to pursue football as long as I can, play as long as I can, but once I’m done, I’ll get into wrestling, too.”
Brock is the cousin of Bron Breakker, son of Rick Steiner, and already trains with the WWE star. With Scott and Rick Steiner in the Hall of Fame and Breakker established on the main roster, the company apparently already sees the next member of the family as a future signing.
