WWE was forced to make an immediate cut during the broadcast of the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, held in Laredo, Texas.

Apparently, the fans’ backlash over the firing of Kairi Sane, in the wave of roster cuts in the first week after WrestleMania 42, will not go unnoticed in arenas, at least not at first.

One of the main matches of the night saw Becky Lynch put the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line against IYO SKY in an open challenge.

Lynch, who won the title ten days ago at WrestleMania 42 by defeating AJ Lee, was about to suffer a historic defeat to SKY when Asuka appeared and saved her.

The Empress of Tomorrow attacked SKY without the referee seeing, clearing the way for Lynch to hit a Manhandle Slam followed by the pinfall.

Immediately after the match ended, Asuka continued the attack on SKY. At that exact moment, the crowd began chanting “We Want Kairi,” which prompted the broadcast to quickly cut to a backstage segment.

Later, WWE announced that SKY and Asuka will face each other at Backlash on May 9 in Tampa, Florida.
