Roman Reigns and Oba Femi could be part of one of the biggest matches at WrestleMania 43, which will take place in 2027 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
According to SelfMadePW, WWE is reportedly considering a match between Reigns and Femi as a backup plan for the event if The Rock is unable to appear at the Showcase of the Immortals. SEScoops also covered the report, but it should still be treated as a rumor, as WWE has not confirmed anything.
The Rock’s presence remains one of the biggest targets for WrestleMania 43. Previous rumors from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter indicated that Saudi Arabia wanted to have “The Final Boss” face either Roman Reigns or Cody Rhodes at the event.
WrestleMania 43 will take place in Riyadh, marking the first edition of the event outside the United States and Canada. This year’s Night of Champions, also in Saudi Arabia, will stream in the United States on the ESPN App through the ESPN Unlimited plan.
Oba Femi, meanwhile, continues to be treated as one of WWE’s strongest names for the future. After facing Brock Lesnar at Clash in Italy, the Nigerian star returned to RAW this week, won a Fatal 4-Way qualifying match for King of the Ring, and made it clear that his rivalry with Lesnar is not over.
It remains to be seen whether WWE will move forward with that plan or if the company will be able to secure The Rock for Riyadh.
