WWE has announced a three-year deal with the Western Australia government, through Tourism Western Australia, establishing Perth as one of its premier international destinations. The agreement runs through 2028.
Under the deal, Perth will host one WWE Weekend Takeover per year, with each edition featuring three major shows at RAC Arena: Friday Night SmackDown, a premium live event, and Monday Night RAW. The specific event names for 2027 and 2028 have not yet been announced.
The first edition is set for December of this year. SmackDown will air on Friday, followed by Wrestlepalooza: Perth on Saturday and RAW on Monday. This will mark the second Wrestlepalooza ever, following the event’s debut in 2025 in Indianapolis, which featured John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar as one of its headline attractions.
10:49 AM · Aug 28, 2026WWE’s investment in Perth follows the results from its recent events in the region. The 2024 Elimination Chamber drew more than 18,000 visitors from outside Western Australia, while the 2025 Weekend Takeover, headlined by Crown Jewel, attracted more than 12,500.
In addition to the three shows, WWE will host fan experiences throughout the city, including a WWE Superstore, meet-and-greets, and community events.
