Zoey Serrano, best known as Zoey Stark during her time in WWE, has officially signed with TNA. The company confirmed the signing during Thursday’s TNA iMPACT! at the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario.
Serrano debuted during a segment involving Indi Hartwell and TNA authority figure Daria Rae. Hartwell was confronting Rae over a Knockouts World Championship opportunity when Serrano jumped her from behind and connected with the Z-360.
Rae then introduced Serrano as the newest addition to the Knockouts division.
The alliance with Rae also ties back to a recent WWE storyline. While still working as Sonya Deville, Rae formed the Pure Fusion Collective alongside Stark and Shayna Baszler. Following this week’s attack, Santino Marella also booked Serrano and Xia Brookside against Hartwell and Harley Hudson.
This won’t be Serrano’s first run with TNA. In 2020, still working under the name Lacey Ryan, she made several appearances for the company and challenged Jordynne Grace for the then-IMPACT Knockouts World Championship.
Interestingly, Serrano revealed this week that she had received contract offers from both TNA and WWE at the time, ultimately signing with the Stamford-based company in 2021.
During her WWE run, Serrano captured the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside IYO SKY. Her time with the company came to an end this past April when she was released while still recovering from a serious knee injury.
