The MFTs came to an end on this week’s WWE SmackDown, leaving Solo Sikoa on his own at a delicate point in The Bloodline storyline. During the show, Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga broke away from Solo backstage.

Tama said he and Talla were tired of Solo’s obsession with Roman Reigns. Talla then said he had received guidance from the Elders and that they were officially out, ending their association with Sikoa.

The situation got worse because Solo had recently gotten involved in Tama and Talla’s WWE Tag Team Championship match, costing the duo the win. When Solo tried to stop them from leaving, Tama simply made it clear that their decision had already been made.

Later in the show, Sikoa still tried to find new allies. First, he had an exchange with LA Knight, attempting to convince him to join a potential war against The Bloodline. He then approached Royce Keys, but was turned down again.

With that, WWE appears to be setting the stage for Solo to move back toward Roman Reigns’ family, even though that has not been confirmed on programming. The main point is that, without the MFTs, Solo no longer has a group of his own.

Speculation about the futures of Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga has also grown because of the group’s recent history. JC Mateo and Tonga Loa, who were also part of the MFTs, left WWE in May and were moved to the Alumni section of the company’s website.

There is no confirmation that Tama or Talla could be released. Still, given how WWE Creative often moves on from groups without clear plans for everyone involved, their situation will likely be watched more closely from here.
