Add as a preferred source on Google Zelina Vega already has a new project lined up after leaving WWE during the company’s recent wave of releases.
According to PWInsider, Vega landed a movie role shortly after being released by the company. So far, however, no details about the project’s title, cast, filming schedule, or expected release date have been publicly revealed.
Vega’s release happened on April 24, alongside several other notable names, including Aleister Black, her husband and recent storyline partner on Friday Night SmackDown.
Vega already has experience outside the ring. She made a brief appearance in Fighting with My Family and also worked as a commentator in Street Fighter 6.
In the 2019 film about Paige, Vega played AJ Lee in one of the most memorable scenes of the Anti-Diva’s WWE career. She has also appeared in other projects, including Dorothy and the Witches of Oz, Army of the Damned, and Hope Bridge.
Before her release, Vega had put together a WWE run with several major accomplishments, including the Women’s United States Championship, the 2021 Queen’s Crown Tournament, and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
