Speaking with Denise Salcedo on Instinct Culture, the former Zoey Stark talked about the friendships she made backstage in WWE and thanked the three of them for checking in on her.
“Becky was one of the first people that reached out to me and helped me during rehab. When I got released, I would call her…she was one of the first people that I called. I told her immediately. She immediately picked up the phone and was like, ‘This is what I can do for you and let’s figure this out together.’ Becky, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. She still helps me out today. Same thing with CM Punk. He reached out to me throughout my entire rehab journey. He reached out when I got released. To have these friendships that I never thought I would have, those are the moments I hold near and dear. I don’t want to keep name-dropping, but I also don’t want to leave people out. It’s important for people know that everyone there has a heart and they are great people. Cody reached out and helped me with my journey. I posted a video about what is next. He watched the entire thing and helped break everything down. I learned a lot from just from that,” she said.
Serrano tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus in a Money in the Bank qualifying triple threat with Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane on the May 19, 2025 episode of Raw. WWE cut her on April 24, 2026 in its post-WrestleMania 42 roster reduction, even though she’d been medically cleared back in late February and never got a match back.
Now working as Zoey Serrano, she returned to the ring at RevPro’s Women’s Grand Prix in Wolverhampton on July 25, dropping her first-round tournament match to Zeuxis. She got a win back on RevPro’s second show later that day, beating JGU in a non-tournament singles match.
