AEW could capitalize on WrestleMania 43 taking place in Saudi Arabia by running one of its biggest events of 2027 in the United States, potentially on the same weekend.
According to journalist Andrew Baydala, WWE has yet to publicly announce dates for WrestleMania 43. He sees the weekends of April 17-18 and April 24-25 as the most viable options at this point.
WWE has confirmed that WrestleMania 43 will be a two-night event in Riyadh in April 2027 but has yet to announce specific dates. The 2027 Royal Rumble, set for February at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, also lacks a confirmed date.
On the possibility of AEW running head-to-head with WWE that weekend, Baydala said:
“I DO BELIEVE AEW will have a major large-scale event in April, but cannot confirm a date.”
The idea is not new. Tony Khan has previously said he intends to run a major event in spring 2027 and specifically mentioned Revolution. Back in May, the AEW president also called it “viable” to book a U.S. show on the same weekend WrestleMania takes place in Saudi Arabia.
Baydala also dismissed the idea of the event being a new pay-per-view called Parade of Champions. AEW did file trademarks for “Parade of Champions” and “AEW Parade of Champions,” but those filings date back to May 11, 2024, and no pay-per-view with that name has ever been announced.
Per Baydala, Revolution or even All In are the more plausible options for April.
WWE will still have a U.S. presence during WrestleMania 43 weekend. NXT Stand & Deliver, AAA Eternal Glory, and official watch parties are already confirmed for the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
