Alexa Bliss revealed a nasty bruise around her left eye on Tuesday, the result of an accident at home just days before WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event.
Bliss shared two photos on her Instagram Story showing the black eye and explained that it happened in the middle of the night when she got up to use the bathroom and slipped.
“Got up to pee in middle of the night, slipped & hit my eye on the shower handle. Woke up like this.”
Bliss is set to team with Charlotte Flair and Tatum Paxley against Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match at Sunday Night’s Main Event. The bout continues the rivalry that started on SmackDown in recent weeks.
Bliss returned to WWE programming on August 7 after being off television for several weeks. In the storyline, Cargill had injured her arm with a steel chair on the July 10 SmackDown. On her return, Bliss helped Charlotte Flair by attacking Cargill, while Tatum Paxley made her main roster debut.
Last Friday, Paxley picked up a win over Michin in her first official SmackDown match, adding more heat to the rivalry heading into the trios bout.
WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event takes place September 6 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
