Benjamin Satterley, known in the ring as PAC, died Sunday. He was 40.
Tony Khan paid tribute to PAC on social media shortly after AEW officially confirmed his death, praising in particular his professionalism, his knowledge, and his dedication to pro wrestling.
Khan wrote, “Benjamin Satterley defined excellence, as a beloved husband & friend to his many loved ones, + in his wrestling knowledge, skill, unprecedented athleticism, professionalism, consistency + dedication to the sport that he loved & traveled the world to pursue. May Ben rest in peace.”
PAC had wrestled for AEW less than 24 hours before his death. He lost to Andrade El Idolo in an AEW National Championship match at All Out, which took place Saturday at the NOW Arena in Chicago.
After the match, Andrade posted a message saying PAC “has to be a world champion in the future.” The post came hours before PAC’s death was confirmed.
PAC, a native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, began his wrestling career in 2004 and joined AEW in 2019. During his time with the company, he became the first AEW All-Atlantic Champion, a title later renamed the AEW International Championship, and also won the AEW World Trios Championship.
