LA Knight is still chasing his first world title in WWE, and he just picked up a significant endorsement in that pursuit from AJ Styles.
On the latest episode of The AJ Styles Show, the WWE Hall of Famer declared that Knight is more ready than anyone on the roster to carry a world championship.
“I’ve never seen anybody more ready to be a champion right now than LA Knight. I know I keep harping on this, but I can’t be the only one that thinks this way.
He’s got all the tools. Give him the opportunity. He knows what comes with being a champion. He’s got it. And I’m not just talking about holding the Heavyweight Championship around your waist. Nope. When it comes to interviews and what you got to do to represent the WWE, he has those tools to be able to get it done and I think he’d do it flawlessly.”
This isn’t the first time Styles has championed Knight for a world title run. Back in June on the Phenomenally Retro Podcast, the Phenomenal One said the Megastar “deserved” that opportunity, citing his mic work and his ability to represent the company.
Styles’ comments come as Knight is working his way toward the World Heavyweight Championship. On the March 8 episode of Monday Night RAW, he confronted Roman Reigns and made it clear he’s coming for the OTC’s title.
WrestleVotes Radio has also reported strong internal expectation that Reigns vs. Knight will take place at Money in the Bank on October 10. The match has not been officially announced, however.
