Baron Corbin says his current WWE deal is probably the last he signs.
Speaking to Adam Barnard of The Sportster, Corbin said he views his return as a limited window to accomplish what he didn’t in his first run. A world title is at the top of the list. The deal is multi-year, but the exact length has not been disclosed.
“Like I said, I signed a good contract, and my thought process is, this is probably the last one I sign, right? Realistically, how much time do I have left to do this before I’m a step slower or I’m not able to bring my A game and the physicality I want?”
Corbin made it clear he doesn’t plan to stick around once he can no longer deliver physically, calling this run a last chance to check every box he has left in WWE. Chief among them is a World Championship, something he never won in his first stint with the company.
Corbin returned to WWE on the July 10 SmackDown, interrupting a match between Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes and hitting both with the End of Days. Weeks later, he defeated Williams at SummerSlam to win the United States Championship.
The reign ended on September 6 at Sunday Night’s Main Event, where Williams regained the title after Lil Yachty survived five minutes against Corbin and earned the rematch.
Despite calling this contract probably his last, Corbin has not set a retirement date.
